Depression and Anxiety looks different in every person and situation. There are degrees of anxiety and depression which may cause confusion on when to seek help. I hear a lot from people

‘ I was not crying so I didn’t think I was depressed’

or

‘I have always been told to pull my boot straps up and keep going’.

Life changes can also stir up a mixture of emotions or feelings of not being in control. Counseling can be useful to learn ways to process emotions and create positive coping skills. 

Through support, education, and evidence-based approaches, helping you to understand what is going on physically and emotionally is the first step to change.
